NO CHATTER!!!!
This is a thread that you should read before posting. It holds a few notes on good RPing, what is appriciated, and what is not.
Good RPing consists of a fairly decent storyline/delema, coherant posts, and preferably more then three words per post [in most cases].
What isn't appriciated
1) One word posts in RPing threads. This is excuseable sometimes, but such circomstances are few and far between.
2) BAD GRAMMAR!! No, let me rephrase that. Not trying to HAVE acceptable grammar/spelling. You understand, no one is perfect (Except TEO, but she's an admin, and they're magic), example: I can't spell very well, but I do TRY! And that's the important thing. Phrases such as "lol" should be to a bare minimum (I'm pretty sure it'd be better if you didn't say it at all), writing "hahah!" or *laughs* is just as easy when you get into the habit.
3) Reviving dead [RPing] threads (Reviving is sometimes ok in game threads). If no one's posted in a thread in a few weeks, don't go reviving it, ok? The thread is dead, all that should happen in that thread, has, and you suddenly interjecting into it really won't do anything but peeve people. If it hasn't been posted in, that means people aren't interested in it. Move on, make a new thread.
4) Needless cursing/bad mouthing.
5) Posts such that consists of nothing more then .* to show that you ment to put a period in the post you just made. The 'Modify' button is there, and loves to be used. Indulge him please.
6) Talking about something happening in a thread, in a non-related place. IE you don't talk about what's going on in the Nausious Possum in the Amusment Park. The NP is in the Medium Seas. The Amusment Park is in Woddlesworth. Two different places, what we're doing in the NP is not known to 'us' in the Amusement Park.
7) Posts in all caps (Unless it's one of those FEW times that it's a post that says "YAY!!" or something). If it's just a few words, it's ok, but not a whole long post. If it's a whole long post of all caps, put it in proper caps, and just punctuation (or bold/italics) to make your point.
Things that are appriciated
1) An effort at good spelling and grammar.
2) Moderatly long posts in RPing threads.
3) Content, this means your posts do something, they help move the RP along, not just coming in and saying "Hey guys, what's been happening?" if you really want to know, read the thread, or at least the last few pages if it's really long. Or even just coming in and saying "Woot!" or "Yay!!" or something like that. DON'T POST JUST FOR THE SAKE OF POSTING! THIS IS CALLED SPAM AND WE DON'T LIKE YOU WHEN YOU DO IT!!!
Extra notes
Listen to your mods and admins, respect them when they tell you something or ask you to stop doing things.
If something says "NO CHATTER" then don't reply until you've read if you can reply in certain manners (EG if it's a thread announcing when you will be gone or that you're back).
If something says "READ FIRST POST" then bloody well read the first post. It's always a good idea to read the first post in all threads, RPing and games alike.
Don't godmod (control other people in RPs).
Remember that any scolding isn't in a mean manner, it's simple to help make BWE a better place.
Don't fix every little problem with magic, or people randomly apearing. Half the fun of RP's is taking small problems and blowing them insanely out of porportion.
Read the rules.
Here is a good [SHORT] RP that me and Robin did, when I was teaching her how to make posts with CONTENT, not just one or two words. It is a good example on good RPing, that won't take fifty years to read.
