Tis' exactly what the topic says. Just a simple war RP, focusing on characters, rather than fighting, while having just enough fighting to keep the action-addicts interested. I'll come up with the rest of the story after I get input....

Jette and I hacked this out a bit more. The basics:
-Empire, taken over by Jette's character (one of the few/only magic users outside of his isolated homeland), is trying to get gold and other precious substances as it's expanding its trade and imposing its own currency on all of its colonies. The RP starts on the Empire border in the mountains, partly into the conflict. The resistence and remaining miners have disappeared from what the Empire thought was their headquarters, and thus the head of the empire is called in, to find them and put the fear of magic into them.
-Magic has various limitations that I can't be arsed to write about right now. Over-use and under-use of magic to a train user can really feck with the brain, so magic in itself is slightly addicting. Magic users are physically weaker and not at home with any 'normal' technology.
-A nation that's peeved with the Empire has pledged to help the nation where the mines are located. Soldiers from both nations and miners are still in the mountain range.
Think that's bits of it. Aye! I'm already plotting my character. Join, fools!

*is so excited about this and confusled* How do we enter our character's descriptions? What guide lines do we need for them? Our own characters or from a book? @_____@ THIS SOUNDS SO AWSOME! JUST AS GOOD AS DDR IF NOT BETTER!

Hahah. Okay, Sora, here's how it goes: -Our RPs are turn-based and novel-style. We haven't set a length, but it's generally more than three paragraphs of story. One can only control one's own character, no other players'. I think you've RPed before. -All characters are our own. Try to make them as much like real people as possible! Skiv's write-up and Tips for Role-Play are good places to start. I wasn't here for it, but Oz led a different RP last year, which you can view here: here!-We're just gathering interest right now, so there's some time to think about your character. You can be on the resistence, in the empire's army, a random smuggler, a miner, an upset person from a colony... lotsa things. If you've got questions, just ask! I have a lot of good character profiles that you might wanna fill out to determine what you're character's gonna be like. Ask if you wanna see. Yay ASW for joining! |
