So, how was YOUR day?
OR
The most general thread in General Chat.
Just randomly wondering how everyone's days are going. I don't get to talk to y'all as much as I'd like-- sniff.
Today was my first day of school-- rather dull. I'm glad that I have at least two, maybe three, classes that seem to require actual mental effort-- AP History, Chemistry, perhaps English. My history teacher is like how I'll be when I'm forty or so. She kept going off on tangents, like, "but that's the way the universe works. That's why I take medication and drink heavily."
Heheh. I've also got a study hall second period, so if I'm not frantically working, I might be online around 8:30-9:17ish, EST.
So, everyone, how was YOUR day? Anyone get sick, cry, throw up, achieve cold fusion? I'm curious.

Silly, only Red Mage can achieve cold fusion.
My day had been very tiresome. boring, yes, whatever. Algebra sucks. Finally finished Science and History lessons. Science is boring now that it's all about minerals and the atomic theory. Meh.
I woke up, read The Witches by Roald Dahl, because I felt like it, felt sick, went and discussed religion with my mom's friend. (Which was boring, too.) And then came inside and petted my kitty.
Arg.

I woke up, got dressed, went vaugly gypsy for today, normally it's a british, gypsy, gothic toss up, depending on my mood. Went to lunch with a friend, then to drama. We made me late so that I could make a good enterance. It was all good. Then home, and now I'm here.

It was sunny, they're now selling Rold Gold honey-wheat pretzal twists in the school vending machines, I'm not bombing my German class, and I salvaged enough change from inside my car for some Tim Horton's coffee. Today was nice.

There was a lawn party thing on my school's front lawn tonight where all the clubs sold food! The debate squad sold bratweusts, it was all good. I had some fresh squeezed lemonade, sherbet icecream, and chocolate covered strawberries for dinner.
But I have to wake up at 6:00 am tomorrow.

Dood, David, that sounds frickin' awesome of your school. I wish mine would sell me yummy things like that.
I'm debating whether to join Mock Trial, which apparently can consist of lieing when the other school tries to cross-examen on. That might be fun. I want quiz club-- I think Lecky once called me an infohoe, quite rightly. Yay, trivia.
Poor Furball, sickness. That sucks. Hope you feel better.
Yay for drama, Skiv. ^^
You told me, Canela, silly, about the pretzels. It's sad when you have to search through your change compartment for Timmy Ho's money. It's sadder when you weasel your mom into buying you melty mints. *eyes dart* Heheh...
Today was moderately boring, but I got to write a little during study hall. I should plan my NaNo novel.
How was everyone's day TODAY? Anything interesting, not interesting, muffins?

I think Timmy Ho's is the stupidest nickname in the world.
And yet, I still say it.

Yeah! I'm not alone in wanting to start planning my novel two months in advance. I need to find some other writers at my high school... The writing with friends he describes sounds like so much fun.

"I went to the library yesterday, where I promised on the graves of my relatives and the honor of my parents I would go to Writers Club. Writers Club is okay, except no one is ever really serious about writing. I read one of my Ransly stories there and got strange looks, even though it was one of the funnier ones...saaaaad." Furball sighed.
"But today I've just been very bored. I need caffine, because I can't concentrate on my English and Math lessons. (Me? Have trouble with English? GASP!) I must admit, having your idol say you aren't moving or doing very well in school isn't doing any good for my self esteem." There was another sigh. Furball shrugged half-heartedly.
"But meh. Besides that I found a few new books at the library. Anyone heard of Charles DeLint?"

I've read one of his short stories before, and I thought it was very cute, but I can't seem to find any novels by him.
Note: Catcher in the Rye is not a good book to get one in a mood for education. At all.
Today I went to school, which was quite dull, but Hollywood vs. History is an entertaining class. I went to the football game later and then toa friend's house. (Anyone ever seen the movie Gallacta {sp}? I'm a sucker for genetic/pseudo-scientific stories...) Sister and I wound up at Timmy Ho's around 12:30.
Why do I go to football games when I, A, Don't understand football, and B, Have no school spirit? God only knows...

Furball thought for a moment. "Read Blue Girl. It's insane."

I shall, on that recommendation.
I hate Sundays. Useless, useless days. I'd prefer 6 days with 28 hours in them a week. Peh.

I like Sundays!! But only when we have fighter practice, which we don't today, which is sad, so I don't like this Sunday.
I think I start school tomorrow.

"I am relearning how to ride my bike. I keep falling off and scraping knees, elbows, and shoulders. I decided to climb the hill out by the woods. S'creepy in twilight, feels like some weirdo is watching you.
"I'm working on my German, so now I can officially tell time, ask for time, distinguish my relatives, and count to one hundred, but not all at the same time. (That's the next course)
Ow. Shoulder hurts."

"I always find that leaning forwad always helps when going up or down a hill on a bike," Skiv states in a hopefully helpful manner. "I tend to lean back when I'm just riding though, I'm not sure if that'll do anything for you though, our balence might be different."
