I also agree with that post. Also also the last part. I was gonna say something else too........oh! Are we all responsible for one specific character? Or just randomly?

Everyone generally is responsible for one character (or can make two, depending on the rules) and isn't allowed to control anyone else's, as that's considered to be Godmodding, which is bad. (Unless it's a round-robin style thingy, which is kinder different from a RP.) The idea is that it's kind of like a book, but less predictable for the writers, 'cause they don't know what others's reactions are gonna be.
I second the character info thread thingy.
Soooo. Setting, or genre, anyone? We have thousands of choices. Just throw things out, yo.

If we do fantasy we can be pretty open to any threads.
But not the kind of fantasy with the happy little elves and stuff.

Ick. Can we stay away from slashing at things with swords and riding off into sunsets with the heads of the slain smouldering in a giant heap on the plains as well, then?
What about, say, fantasy setting (not that we need to do fantasy by any means) that's not castles and peasants? What about... Atlantis? A Roman-Empire based setting, or Byzantine, or... other things? Asianess? Jungles?
(Why are fantasy worlds always British Middle Ages, anyway? Shouldn't SOMETHING eventually evolve from that, like more complex cities or sunnink? Why not a different time period? Why does no one prey on, say, the Hundred Years War in France, or Canada when people were searching for the northwest passage?)
Cor, Furball and I shouldn't get going on the stereotypes and typicalness thing. Werr.

Maybe we should just make up a setting where we can have intersecting time zones.
(The reason is, TEO, the middle ages are just more easy to use in a fantasy setting since the Arthorian Chronicles (or whatever they're called) blazed the way)

I dunno... on this other board that I was on we had this war between a futuristic techno style humans and humans with unique abilities. That was a good thread and the story worked really well.
I think that we should have an alternate world non-the-less, because this leads to less cliches.

Interesting.
Sure why not. (Although I am sucky at writing fight scenes)

<insert> I HATE ROMANS!!!!!!
*cough* 'ny way.
I say we do something where we can have chars from different periods. Say, we're transported to a world where all of our [char's] times are... Melded, so to say. Like there are patches of each time period.

Yes.... I am. And I am TEO's Knightly Minion, and Robin's guardian angel/life saver.
Okay, from everyone's ideas, I have patched this together.
Alternate World -> Different ages of time all melded together. I think that this would be like there would be modern cities as well as castles, villages, and the occasional metropolis.
Character Models -> Anyone you want from any setting. Magic and futuristic weapons both can be used.
Anything else important need to be said?

No invincible characters/weapons, because if we end up with those, Coconut will godmod and stab them through the heart with a shish kebob skewer. Yay.
I'm also going to quietly goat that this sort of setting is unlikely to have developed, with feudalism breaking down once trade and industry developed more... but... meh,
*Coconut stabs TEO for being annoying*

Yeah... that's good because then almost every character type imaginable can be used. What kind of story would we do though? People fighting for and against feudalism?
That actually sounds really interesting... lets do that.
Who do you hate that I remind you of?
