I am saddened to be the bearer of bad news, but Christopher Reeve died a few days ago due to cardiac arrest at the age of fifty-two. For those of you who don't know him, he was the star of the Superman movies, until a horseback riding accident crippled him. But he survived nine years, determined to get out of the wheelchair. But...He never got the chance.
He was an icon of hope for all of us. His strength and courage have appealed to many people. His determination to never give up startled me, and I wish he had gotten out of that wheelchair. I was immensley saddened when I heard the news, and I almost felt like crying. He had seemed to be getting better, and when I heard the news my heart seemed to shrink a bit. I have always seen him as a sort of idol to me, and I think he was to many.
He left behind a wife and at least one child.
So I ask of you all to just say a little prayer for Christopher Reeve. Pray that his wife and child be comforted in their grief. And pray that he is now happy in heaven, where he is at last able to get out of the wheelchair, kick it aside, and walk strong, tall, and proud once again. Maybe, in a way, his dream did come true.
CHRISTOPHER REEVE 1952-2005
We will never forget you. So long, man.

*sighs sadly*
*pulls out prayer book*
Is there any remover of difficulties save God, Say praise be God, he is God. All are his servants, and all abide by his bidding.
*puts book away*
*sniffles* I just felt...like being religious just then...
