Since the Redwall one was fun in its time, and since we aim to resurect it and finish it, I've got to thinking about other-slightly-obscure-fandom roleplays. Depends on who's familiar with what, I suppose, but here're some of my suggestions:
His Dark Materials The Young Wizards Discworld
All of those would adapt pretty well to non-canon characters, 'cause the worlds are sufficiently built so that... other stuff c'n happen. You know. 'Cause TEO has issues with people corrupting canon characters.
Any other suggestions? And potential players? I'm curious, muchly so.

Sorry to say I've never even heard of any of those before, Much less read them. I think it would make it fairly hard for me to RP them..

Hmm. Any genres you're more familiar with? We might hit on something that more people know of...

Wicked?
True, it's the Oz universe, but it's a lot more political and dark than the 'traditional' books.

Hmm... Well. I have several webcomics with rather unique worlds that work rather well for RP and even have RPs currently ongoing in their forums (Sluggy Freelance, CRFH!!!, and Narbonic spring readily to mind) but not everyone is familiar enough with the worlds for us to do something like that. Also I could pitch Urban Dead into the ring, but no one around here is probably familiar enough with it either. Besides, it's already a game. My first actual suggestion is a really stupid one that one part of me is not even sure would work while the other part of me is somewhat morbidly curious: Homestar Runner. For more serious suggestions (I don't necessarily really want to do all of these, but are just a few selections that might work if y'all have a serious hankering to): Animorphs, Bleach, Cowboy Bebop, Dune, Firefly, H2G2, Samurai Jack, Sin City, Star Wars, and/or Wolf's Rain. What thinkest thou?

Okay Ahrar I'm sorry but if I hear you mention webcomics one more time I'm going to jump off a cliff and take you with me.
On a different note: Animorphs would be fun, I was bloody obsessed with those books when I was younger, I have them all, even the Megamorphs, and choose your own adventure ones. I recently saw Cowboy Bebop, but I really don't get it enough to RP it, BWE IS H2G2, without the RP.

I've meant to check out Firefly for two years, just because of the quotes I've heard from it. I must find out what the hizzeck it is.
I don't really remember anything about Animorphs, blast it...
Wicked would be so cool, but then we'd be all, 'yo, musical or book-verse'-y and stuff. *eyes dart*

Animorphs = Sweet Bleach = I doubt anyone's seen it 'cept me. Cowboy Bebop = Hard to do. Dune = Couldn't get through it. Firefly = No H2G2 = Too Random Samurai Jack = Fun but hard. Sin City = No Star Wars = Would be fairly sweet but it's incredibly cliché. Wolf's Rain = Again, I'm probably the only one that's seen it. Homestarrunner = Too random
As for the webcomics, I would gladly help Skiv tie you up.

I'd like to.
I've heard of them from I don't know where and they sounded interesting.
I don't think I've read them...
I suppose we could use Eragon and Eldest, though I don't remember the world very well.. I just remember it was good..
