Kelby looked down at the small knife and smiled broadly. "Wha' d'you intend ta do with that, mate?" He hefted his quarterstaff, spun it around in a quick maneuver around his head, and slammed the end into the ground, leaning on it casually as he looked the fox up and down. "An' what in the name 'o hellgates happened ta you?"

Srel lifted a hand to his ear.
"I ran into a problem a little while back. I lost half an ear. That Stoat lost his life.."
"An' as for this," he tossed the knife and caught it, "I can throw, so unless you'd like to have it through your left eye, I wouldn't move if I was you."

Kelby's eyes narrowed and his charming smile disappeared in an instant. "Now, see 'ere, fox. I don' like bein' threatened. 'Specially not by tha likes of yew." He gestured forwards, then suddenly he was moving. He gripped the stick at the top and whipped the thick, gnarled bottom around backhanded towards the fox's head, at the same time crouching down and sliding to the right, giving momentum to his swing and making himself a smaller target.

Srel wasn't ready for the attack the 'O T T E R IS CENSORED.' had made. He jerked the blade as fast as he could at him and tried to duck, but the wood hit the side of his head the same time the knife left his hand. He fell down as he heard the knife bite hard into a tree.
Then everything went black.

Kelby stared down at the prostrate fox and grinned. Out like a light, he thought. Always knew foxes had soft skulls. He glanced around for any mates the fox might have, but he was almost positive that this one was alone. He hadn't had the usual swagger of a vermin creature backed by a horde. Kelby stared down at the small fox below him and grinned wider when he noticed the jewels on the fox's torn ear. This might be my lucky day after all...
OOC: OK, TEO or Skiv, this is your cue to start posting stuff in here again, I've got nothing after this. The Redwall RP is fun. W00t! _A0Q

hmmm... We should finish this so that it can go in the history as somewhat of a successful attempt at serious roleplaying. Finish it like the Finnish...would finish it. Before it does diminish..

Sounds good to me, though I don't have much inkling of what was going on anymore or where the story was going.

haha
Don't look at me,
I'm not quite sure where you guys were, but I think Srel had just escaped, while shortly afterwards getting his undercarriage handed to him.
Maybe we should all read it, then make a ready post when we’re organized enough to start?

Indeed! Sounds good. I hope we can pull it together, 'cause this was interesting.
Hahah, Lecky changed his name. I feel influential... or something. Perhaps merely caffinated. Who knows.

Okay, I've read it again, and I'd have to say that I'm gettin' a powerful hankering to be doing this story again. I want to see where it goes. So basically, after you've all reread it, this is the cue for Britta and Sylvia to wander up and stumble upon Kelby and Srel. This is gonna be fun if we can keep it up. ;D

I'm ready.
Were we out of the Abbey, or do we need to leave, TEO?

I think you were just setting out, that's why we situated the scene where we did. You could skim back over the past few pages to get the gist.
