I dunno. I haven't really ever fixed anything myself, but that's probably because I can never stop playing with the duct tape long enough to do something in the first place.

TEO jerks out of her random coma and dons her old Masked Coconut cape.
"Never fear! I have a cape! That means that I can... run around in circles and panic!"
She proceeds to do so, and then collapses into a seat.
"Okay... how about we just use a plot hole instead and go to Britain?" she gasps. "We should have thought of that ages ago!"

David emerges from one of these cleverly designed plot holes himself, head reeling from trying to read 17 pages of misadventures, terrorists, and random foodstuffs.
"You guys really know how to plan a trip," he says as he staggers in. He then, looking around and observing the impending doom, says "everyone for themselves!"
He grabs his sword, slashes a giant hole in reality, and yells "I'll see you in Britain!!!"
(sorry if meh grammer isn't very good, I haven't written very much in the present tense...)
