I know some of you glorious dorks are already out of school, but for us poor northerners, there's only wistful pondering at this point. And thus, out of nosey-ness and a desire to share my news, I ask:
Watcha doin' this summer?
I get out of school on the 14th of June, and then I'm off for a weekend to a Pennsylvania Irish music thingite. Camp training for me starts on June 26th, and then I'll be working there all summer 'til about August 13th. When I get a better schedule, I'll add the 'When TEO is home' weekends to the calendar, 'cause I'm self-important or summat.
I know some of y'all are gonna go to Ragnarok. Stupid school exams impend me! Rawr. I would much rather hit strangers with things than sit in an airless gym being tested on chemistry.

Well, I'm getting out of school this Friday. So, this June I have, Camp Logos from the 5th to the 9th. I have Breakaway from teh 12th to the 16th. And I have Youth Jamboree from the 20th to the 25th. Much stuff. But the other months are pretty much blank.

June 18-25th I will be living in a squalid tent with (approximately) 5 other guys for 8 days, eleven hours away from home.
I hate travelling.

Yep, going to see Ahrar this summer. Very excited about that, even though I pretty much share his feelings on camping. I love travelling and driving long distances, though. I'm just a freak like that.  Also, I might get to go see The Weakerthans, though that's just speculation, as of now. |

I don't really get out of school I don't think, I have to do math all summer, and try and finish up the 10th grade, which is good 'cause I can get really bored in the summer. No real plans 'til July, besides going to Opelika for another week to take care of the ailing great grandmother. Then July 5th...
GOTHISH GETS HIS LISCENCE!
And that is when the fun begins. I'm seriously hoping to be able to go to Michagin with him this July some time, 'cause I wanna go, and I wanna see Meg, and Pat, and see The Dresden Dolls in concert. Squee.
So we hope.

I'm not really doing much this summer, with things being so uncertain. But, Band starts in the end of July, and I get my liscence July 5th. Wow, I'm a boring person...

That prospect has frightened me ever since he turned 13 and I realized that in a couple years he'd be driving... Hehe. I'm... er... turning 19 in August. I'll be allowed to... y'know... Be Older. I'll be doing schoolwork all summer, maybe going to this camp-thing for two weeks during June in detroit, but I doubt it. I can't get a license until Janurary, because with homeschooling-driving-taught-peoples they have to be 16 to get permit and them 16+6 months to get license. *sigh* I suppose the most fun Furball is having this summer folks is...well...that she's turning 16.

As the local and resident (Yes, I'm that spiffy) Old Fart, I would like to think back about how I used to enjoy Summer. But, now, I work. And work. And then work some more!
This summer was supposed to have me meeting a few buddies, but things don't seem to be working out. For example:
Eckrice was supposed to drop by a week or two ago, but decides he'll just call out of the blue on his last day in Vegas to say 'hi' instead.
I should have a couple of my friends from Hawaii visiting me sometime this season, but I haven't been able to get ahold of them lately, so that's kinda worrying me.
Matt or GK (he's the nerd with me in that first picture in the pic thread) told me he was going to try and come down to Vegas from the Eighth to the Fifteenth of this month. Only problem is, today's the Eighth and I haven't heard from the guy in like two months.
So Oz is feeling the pressure of solitude, it would seem.
