I GET TO GO HOME IN THREE DAYS. Sure, it's going to be twenty-four hours in a cold, snowless landscape with twenty five girls under eleven. Sure, someone will spill hot chocolate on their sleeping bag. Sure, someone will drop a flashlight down the latrine.

Canela is back at school. She has the best schedule ever, a nifty new roommate, and red rope lights for her apartment that she adopted from a friend who was moving and needed to get rid of stuff. Yay indeed.
